Aliza Haym

Aliza came to Eilat from Algeria at the age of nine. Until she was fifteen she studied in religious schools. She married in 1970 and has three children and two grandchildren.

 For fourteen years Aliza studied art under the tutelage of Amir Elcayam, a well known Eilat artist and teacher of art. She is a member of the Painters and Sculptors Association, Israel. She has held two solo exhibitions in Eilat and has participated in an exhibition in Beer-Sheva and an exhibition held in Budapest, Hungary, to celebrate 3000 years of Israel. She is presently working on a solo exhibition which will soon be held in Tel-Aviv.

Aliza works mainly in oils and carbon. She is often commissioned by Eilat residents to paint for them.
